POSTION REQUIREMENTS – Criteria & Qualification

In the role of project coordinator, the successful candidate will support and work with one or more project managers to implement a number of projects in the engineering/field maintenance space for a major pipeline company. The project coordinator supports the project team and contributes to the delivery of requirements and project objectives. The successful candidate is motivated and takes initiative, anticipating the project manager’s requirements and working pro-actively.


Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will support the implementation of projects from initiation to closure, managing scope, schedule, and budget.

      • Document control and management
          • Maintain the project documentation system folders.
          • Manage files and records to enable clean, structured, and intuitive project folders for the project team.
          • Respond to information inquiries.
      • Creation of project and/or business process documentation.
      • Perform financial analysis.
      • Run and compare labour tracking and financial reports as required.
      • Manage and organize project artifacts and templates.
      • Schedule team meetings, workshops, and events.
      • Assist in the setup and facilitation of the meetings (i.e., write on flip charts, help coordinate break out groups etc.).
      • Attend and scribe for meetings and workshops.
      • Maintain action registries, meeting minutes, and project notes.
      • Provide team on-boarding to new team members.
      • Compile project status reports and metrics for the project manager.
      • Draft team communications including announcements and PowerPoint presentations.
      • Collect and input tasks into the project plan (MS Project).
      • Liaise with other teams as necessary (i.e., new hires, building security etc.) to support the project.


      • 4+ years of progressive experience in project coordination and/or project management.
      • Knowledge and experience working in the energy industry in Operational and IT Technologies.
      • Strong understanding and skills in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Project, PowerPoint & Visio.
      • Knowledge and skills using systems such as SharePoint.
      • Ability to handle multiple planned and unplanned project tasks, roles, and responsibilities.
      • High attention to detail and quality assurance.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
      • Proactive nature with a sense of urgency.
      • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
      • Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct.
