POSTION REQUIREMENTS – Criteria & Qualification

The successful Project Coordinator will be supporting one or multiple project managers in the delivery of projects. It is a critical position for the project and will be reporting to the Project Manager. The Project Coordinator provides support to the project team and contributes to the delivery of high-quality requirements for the project.

Position Requirements:

        • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination.
        • Strong understanding and skills in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Project, PowerPoint & Visio.
        • Experience with project document control and writing.
        • Experience in records management.
        • Experience with financial analysis.
        • Knowledge and skills using electronic document management systems such as SharePoint.
        • Strong knowledge of Project Management principles, methods, and techniques.
        • Ability to handle multiple planned and unplanned project tasks, roles, and responsibilities.
        • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
        • Ability to learn and work within a company’s project management processes.
        • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
        • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
        • Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct.
        • Experience working for energy or utility companies is desirable.
        • Experience working on projects with a focus on digital enablement is desirable.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Description & Responsibilities

        • Manage and organize project artifacts and templates.
        • Work with the project manager in the creation of project artifacts such as charters, project plans, communications plans, decision records, etc.
        • Schedule team meetings, workshops, and events.
        • Assist in the setup and facilitation of the meetings such as taking meeting notes, coordinating break out session, managing discussions.
        • Maintain action registries, meeting minutes, and project notes.
        • Provide team on-boarding to new team members.
        • Order and manage project team stationary.
        • Compile project status reports and metrics for the Project Manager.
        • Draft team communications including announcements, PowerPoint presentations.
        • Maintain project electronic documentation system folders.
        • Collect and input tasks into the project plan (MS Project).
        • Run and compare labour tracking and financial reports as required.
        • Liaise with other teams as necessary (i.e., new hires, building security etc.) to support the project.
