- Proposed resource must have achieved bachelor’s in business administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- 3 years experience working as a Financial Analyst
- 3 years experience in financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial statements.
- 3 years experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proposed resource must possess knowledge of accounting principles and Canadian public sector accounting standards.
- Proposed resource must possess 3 years ability to maintain accuracy and pay careful attention to detail.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Description & Responsibilities
Project Overview:
Ongoing operational duties within the Financial Services team. Forecasting, processing invoices, journal entries, assisting with the capital asset life cycle including, asset coding and setup, tracking expenditures against the asset, moving the asset from Asset Under Construction into service and disposing of the asset at the end of its useful life.
Description of Services:
Candidate will apply their accounting skills to full cycle accounting and financial reporting, including developing and executing month end processes, financial analysis, dashboards, and external/internal reporting.
Duties will include but not limited to:

- Prepare non-complex journal entries.
- Assist in preparation of month end reporting, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations.
- Assist in budget preparation.
- Support variance analysis and investigate abnormalities.
- Assists routine duties and preparation of working papers and financial statements.
- Review and analyze accruals.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Analyze and interpret financial information.
- Work with business entities to gather and disseminate information for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
- Reconcile and prepare GST/HST.
- Update department financial policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
